Pre-Service 1-28-2018 - Kingdom HABITS - Involvement in Ministry

As we continue the series on Kingdom HABITS, this week we look at serving others. Being a follower of Jesus might start with receiving a gift of salvation, but that should grow into a passion to share that blessing with others. We do that through serving others in many ways.

Pre-Service 1-21-2018 - Kingdom HABITS - The Bible

As the third sermon in the Kingdom HABITS series, we will look at the Bible this week. Our passage for the sermon comes from the longest chapter in the Bible.

It is a Psalm dedicated to the God's. Take time to reflect on the many ways this passage speaks of the wonder of knowing the word and laws of God.

Pre-Service 1-14-2018 - One Anothering

This morning's sermon will be about "one anothering". It's the second habit in our series on Kingdom Habits.

The main passage of the sermon is from Galatians 6:2:

"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

Helpful question for reflection:

• Whose burdens have you carried recently? Are those people from our church, another church or do they not belong to any church?
• Who has helped carry your burdens, either recently or at some other time in the past?

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power

    and the kingdom of our God,

    and the authority of his Messiah.

For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,

Pre-Service 1-7-2018 Kingdom HABITS - Holiness

What are you hoping for in 2018?

We naturally make plans and set goals at the start of the year. Maybe a summer trip is in order for you or you're looking at a new job or possibly retirement. Take a minute to think about what you hope will come together, what will work out or what will otherwise make 2018 memorable in a good way.

And if it didn't already come to mind, consider what you hope for here in our church. What do you want to see for the Kingdom this year?

This week we will begin a new series on Kingdom HABITS. Each letter of HABITS will give us a different habit to focus on. H will be for "holiness".

The main passage of Scripture will be 1 Corinthians 6:9 - 12.

Other verses we will look at are:
